望蓟门　是唐代诗人祖咏的作品。

此诗写诗人到边地见到壮丽景色，抒发立功报国的壮志。

诗一开始就用“心惊”二字，表示诗人对国事的担忧；接着写听到军中不断传来鼓角声，使人感到浓厚的战争气氛；中间四句进一步具体地描绘了登台所见的紧张情况，从而激发了诗人投笔从戎、平定边患、为国立功的壮志。

全诗意境辽阔雄壮，充满阳刚之美，带有浓郁的盛唐时期的慷慨之气，写景状物中又寄寓着诗人热爱祖国山河的豪情和投身疆场为国立功的壮志，是一篇催人奋进的爱国主义乐章。

望蓟门　 祖咏燕台一去客心惊，笳鼓喧喧汉将营。

万里寒光生积雪，三边曙色动危旌。

沙场烽火连胡月，海畔云山拥蓟城。

少小虽非投笔吏，论功还欲请长缨。

I remember at the city of Chihow the clouds lie along the city wallslike waves along our home sea-coast;and full of longing for home, I, but a simple lad,wonder if all this is necessary; whymust we lay down the pen and pick upthe sword?
