左辅（1751—1833）字仲甫，一字蘅友，号杏庄，江苏阳湖人。

乾隆进士。

以知县官安徽，治行素著，能得民心。

嘉庆间，官至湖南巡抚。

辅工诗词古文，著有 念菀斋诗、词、古文、书牍　五种，传于世。

断岸高低向我，渔火一星星。

何处离声刮起？

拨琵琶、千载剩空亭。

是江湖倦客，飘零商妇，于此荡精灵。

一例苍茫吊古，向获花、枫叶又伤心。

只琵琶响断，鱼龙寂寞不曾醒。
