Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes is working ona new period drama for ITV.

Fellowes has been commissioned by the network toadapt his 2016 novel Belgravia, Deadline reported.

Belgravia, which was originally published in aserialised format online, is set in London in the1840s.

Carnival Films, the same company that co-produced Downton Abbey, is producing the newshow, according to Deadline.

Downton Abbey originally aired on ITV between 2010 and 2015.

Production on the new series is reportedly set to start in the coming months, and the show isslated for a six-part run.

Fellowes described it as such in a previous interview with The Independent: ”You tune in andyou see the real house, you meet the characters, and it says something like ‘Waterloo’ and youpress Waterloo and you get ‘Waterloo was a battle fought on the 18 June 1815.
