China's crackdown of online crimes related to personality rights continues, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said Monday.

Insult, slander and infringement of citizens' personal information on the internet all violate personality rights, said Miao Shengming, an official with the SPP.

据最高检检察委员会委员、第一检察厅厅长苗生明介绍，在网络上对他人侮辱、诽谤、侵犯公民个人信息均属于侵犯人格权犯罪。

He added the top procuratorate has supervised the handling of more than 30 criminal cases related to such crimes.

最高检已督办指导各类侵犯人格权犯罪案件30余件。

Since 2019, prosecuting agencies have pressed charges against 213 people for insult or defamation, 21,923 for infringement of personal information and 15 for crimes that besmirch the reputation or honor of heroic martyrs, Miao said.

2019年以来，全国检察机关共起诉涉嫌侮辱罪、诽谤罪被告人213人，涉嫌侵犯公民个人信息罪被告人21923人，涉嫌侵害英雄烈士名誉、荣誉罪被告人15人。
