相传在清朝年间，弥渡一位赴京赶考的学子，带了一罐卷蹄到京城，被一些学者有幸品尝后倍加赞赏，后来竟惊动了皇上，并降旨御口亲尝弥渡卷蹄，从此弥渡卷蹄就名声大振，传扬四方。
