So the king named this invaluablejade "Heshibi".

楚人卞和献给楚厉王一块含有宝玉的石头，宫廷里的玉匠鉴别后说是块石头，厉王认为卞和欺骗了自己，下令砍去卞和的左脚。

后来武王即位，卞和再去献宝，又被鉴定为石头，卞和的右脚也被砍掉。

文王继位的消息传来后，卞和抱着那块玉石痛哭了三天三夜，直哭的眼泪干枯，鲜血迸出。

事情传开后，文王派人去询问原因，卞和说：我是心痛美玉被当成顽石，坦荡君子被视为骗子。

”文王听后，叫玉匠剖开石头，果然得到一块无暇美玉，于是将这块价值连城的宝玉命名为和氏之璧”。
