Here is some super exciting news for television fans – Heroes is returning to television next year as a new miniseries titled Reborn!

The news was revealed with a brief teaser clip aired during Olympics coverage on Saturday (February 22) and the network has confirmed there will be thirteen new episodes produced by creator Tim Kring.

While NBC is being secretive on the details, Salke adds that it's possible some familiar faces may return for the miniseries.

NBC will also launch a digital series to introduce new characters and storylines to the mythology before it premieres.

"Heroes" originally ran on NBC from 2006-2010.
