Benton County Schools driver William Chester” Cole died Tuesday after he experienced a heart attack on Highway 72 and drove off the road, news station WREG reported.

The 63-year-old, who had driven for the district for five years, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Eight kids were injured in the accident, including Cole’s granddaughter, who saw him clutch his chest before the crash, news station WMC reported.
