China will adopt a government-guided pricing mechanism for off-campus curriculum-subject tutoring services for students in compulsory education, the country's top economic planner said Monday.

国家发展改革委9月6日发布通知，明确义务教育阶段学科类校外培训收费依法实行政府指导价。

As institutions offering such services are categorized as non-profit organizations, the government will set basic fee standards and a floating range for both online and offline classes, according to a circular released by the National Development and Reform Commission.

义务教育阶段线上和线下学科类校外培训属于非营利性机构，由政府制定基准收费标准和浮动幅度。

The upward floating range set by local governments should be capped at 10 percent.

各地制定的浮动幅度，上浮不得超过10%。
