China has released guidelines demanding various localities promote urbanization with a focus on county towns.

The guidelines, jointly issued by the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council General Office, said the move aims to better meet the needs of rural residents to find jobs and settle down in county towns.

为更好满足农民到县城就业安家需求，中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅近日印发 关于推进以县城为重要载体的城镇化建设的意见　。

The guidelines list a series of measures including developing competitive industries, creating more jobs in county towns and strengthening ecological conservation, adding by 2025, major progress should be seen.

意见　提出培育发展特色优势产业、稳定扩大县城就业岗位、加强生态保护等建设任务，并明确发展目标：到2025年，以县城为重要载体的城镇化建设取得重要进展。
