Chinese authorities on Tuesday rolled out a phased support policy on deferring housing provident fund contributions to help enterprises and individuals through difficulties amid the epidemic.

Enterprises affected by the epidemic can apply for postponing the payment of housing provident fund contributions under the rules, said a circular, which was jointly released by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance, and the People's Bank of China.

住房和城乡建设部、财政部、人民银行5月24日发布 关于实施住房公积金阶段性支持政策的通知　，进一步加大住房公积金助企纾困力度，帮助受疫情影响的企业和缴存人共同渡过难关。

通知提出，受新冠肺炎疫情影响的企业，可按规定申请缓缴住房公积金，到期后进行补缴。

It added that the regular withdrawal and loan application of the fund would not be affected.

在此期间，缴存职工正常提取和申请住房公积金贷款，不受缓缴影响。
